The Packers have signed free agent tight end Jared Cook. The 28-year old reportedly has agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.6 million.
Cook was cut by the Rams in the offseason for salary cap reasons. He caught 39 passes for 481 yards and zero touchdowns last season. Cook has averaged 12.8 yards per reception in his career. So, the Packers are hoping he can fill a void by being a tight end that can stretch the field and make yards after the catch. Cook will likely split tight end duties with Richard Rodgers in Green Bay.
