MADISON (WKOW) -

The Madison Capitols are once again searching for a new head coach/general manager. Troy Ward resigned after just one season with the organization.

“First, I really appreciated the opportunity to work with the Madison Capitols organization. At this time, I will be moving on to pursue other professional opportunities in the game of hockey,” Ward said. “I’d like to say thank you to the fans, ownership, front office, hockey support staff, coaches, billets, and players for all their hard work this past season. I wish the Capitols organization much success moving forward in the USHL and in the city of Madison.”

Capitols president Bob Gazich has begun a search for Ward's replacement.

“We would like to thank Troy for his efforts throughout the Capitols’ second season,” said Capitols Chairman Ryan Suter. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
