RECALL ALERT: Herbal tea sold at CVS Pharmacy recalled due to possible salmonella contamination

(WKOW) --- CVS Pharmacy announced a voluntary recall of select cases of Gold Emblem Abound Organic Spiced Herbal Tea.

The manufacturer says the tea could be contaminated with salmonella.  An ingredient produced by a raw material supplier tested positive for salmonella, and that ingredient is found in the tea.

Look for a label of "Gold Emblem Abound Organic Spiced Herbal Tea 1.41 oz" and has a best by date of 18 Mar 2018 and UPC of 0 50428 541043.

CVS says the product was sold nationwide. Any affected products have been removed from store shelves.  If you have this product you can return it for a refund or call 1-800-SHOP-CVS.
