MADISON (WKOW) -- Pleasant View Candies, located in Soldiers Grove, issued a voluntary recall of its Cashew Crunch candies.
The candies contained butter, which was not listed on the label. The butter could present a serious concern for people with dairy allergies. The candies are safe to consume for anyone without an allergy to dairy or butter.
The affected candies were sold in clear six ounce plastic packages at Woodman's, Brennen's and Hy-Vee stores in Madison on or before April 25.
The state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection says no illnesses have been reported.
