Meet Champ & help DCHS with its Wildlife Baby Shower

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Champ, a 1 1/2 year old Corgi Mix, is looking for a good home. The adorable dog stopped by the WKOW studios to visit with the Wake Up Wisconsin crew Friday.

Marissa DeGroot with the Dane County Humane Society says Champ is a lovable pup and would be a great addition to many families. If you're interested in meeting with Champ, call the DCHS at (608) 838-0413 or click on this website.

Meanwhile, the humane society is getting ready for its Wildlife Baby Shower next week. During this virtual event, people can help care for many of the Four Lakes Wildlife Center's injured, sick or orphaned wild babies. To care for the babies, the DCHS will feature a different item every day from Monday, May 2 until Sunday, May 8 that is essential to their car. People can buy them through the Amazon Wish List and their donation will go directly to the humane society or they can buy items locally and drop them off at the wildlife center.

To learn more about the items the DCHS needs, visit this website or follow the shelter on its Facebook page.
