MADISON (WKOW) -- Mount Zion Baptist Church celebrates its 105th anniversary this year with events open to the public.
The first is "Gospel Bowling" Saturday, May 14 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Schwoeglers Park Lanes (444 Grand Canyon Avenue). The cost is $5 per person and includes games, shoes, pizza and soda.
The public is also invited to Mount Zion's two church services the next morning, Sunday, May 15 at either 8:00 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. Guest Preacher Bishop Harold Rayford from Faith Place will give the sermon. Mount Zion's Mass Choir, Liturgical dancers and the Levites will be ministering, Deacon Ruben Anthony tells Wake Up Wisconsin.
Throughout May, the history of the church is on display in the Narthex and Old Sanctuary. For more information, head to this website.
