LAKE WALLENPAUPACK, PA (WKOW) -- Cardboard is usually used best for boxing up stuff for storage or moving, but a group of high school students in Pennsylvania decided to use it for making a boat. And yes, they took it out on the water.
The students named the vessel "Da Boat" and created it as part of an end-of-year project for an engineering class. Using supplies such as hot glue and liquid nails, "Da Boat" cast away from shore with people on it and stayed afloat. However, after a few successful trips, "Da Boat" sprung a leak and had to head back to shore.
When asked how the boat handled on the water, the students said it was wobbly.
