COLUMBUS, GA (WKOW) -- People who have been pulled over before know the dreadful feeling. A mom in Georgia was pulled over after leaving her house one morning. The officers asked her if she was involved in a hit and run recently. She was quite surprised as she had just left her house. But what she didn't know was that her son had the whole thing planned.
Army Staff Sergeant Salomon Robinson was coming back early from active duty in Iraq and wanted to "get his mom good." So he coordinated with officers and had them accuse her of the hit and run. She was pulled over and police made her get out of the car. When she turned her back, Salomon snuck up behind her and her reaction was priceless.
She screamed for about five seconds before finally hugging her son. The whole thing was caught on a police squad's dash cam. You can click on the video to watch for yourself. "Mom" had a mix of emotions from being mad at him for the surprise but so happy to see him.
Staff Sergeant Robinson will be going back to Iraq in a couple weeks, but is looking forward to spending time with his family before then.
