GRAND CHUTE (WKOW) -

The WIAA tournament journey ended in the quarterfinals for the Middleton baseball team. The Cardinals fell to Green Bay Preble 4-2.

It was a scary start for Middleton. Starting pitcher Alec Morrison took a line drive to the face in the first inning. He left the game and was sent to a local hospital where he was reportedly diagnosed with a concussion.

Preble then posted three unanswered runs against Middleton's bullpen before the Cardinals fought back. They pulled to within a run but couldn't get any closer.

Middleton ends the season with a 22-6 record.
