MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WKOW) -- Three local teams made it to the state finals, but all three walked away with a second place finish.

Madison West made their thirteenth trip to the State Tournament, winning five titles across that span. The Regents faced Divine Savior Holy Angels in the Division 1 finals, falling 1-0. The Dashers goal came off a corner just five minutes into the game.

In Division 2, the Panthers were trying to become back-to-back champions. They battled through 90 minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of overtime, losing in a shoot-out, 2-1. Senior Makena Fanning scored the lone penalty kick for the Panthers.

In Division 3, Sugar River made their first ever finals appearance, taking on powerhouse Catholic Memorial, who have won eight titles and four straight. Led by senior Emily Cervantes hat-trick, the Crusaders made it five in a row with a 5-0 shutout.
