MADISON (WKOW) -- Yogis in Madison are getting ready for a very important session coming up in July. The "Free to Breathe" event will help raise money for lung cancer research.
The Madison event is July 23 at Lake Farm Park and people participate in a unique, instructor-led outdoor yoga endurance challenge. You can practice solo (with a fundraising goal of $400) or in a team of eight (with a goal of $1,200).
Tuesday on Wake Up Wisconsin, Susan Smedley Gerber, the event manager of "Free to Breathe" talked about the event in Madison while yoga instructor Meg Sirchio, owner of Perennial Yoga Studio, taught Dani Maxwell and Brandon Taylor a few poses. Click on the video above to watch how they did! Tuesday, June 21, by the way, is International Day of Yoga if you want to give it a try or if you're already a yoga master - get into some postures and breathe!
