Kitten crashes reporter's live shot

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI (WKOW) -- A reporter was doing a live shot outside the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department and everyone kept hearing this noise on the air. Well it turned out that noise was coming from a kitten. Reporter Nifa Shaffe decided to pick up the young kitten and bring him live on air.

"He's been pretty vocal, he tried to take over my time," Shaffe said. "He's been hanging out under our truck here so we've kind of taken him under our wing. Corporal Wilson of the Washtenaw County Sheriff's department came out and he immediately ran up to her."

Throughout the show, Shaffe and the crew held the cat and kept introducing him on air. They called the local humane society and watched over the kitten until they arrived to pick him up. The kitten is now up for adoption.
