MADISON (WKOW) -

Some high-profile amateurs took their cuts alongside the Champions Tour professionals on the second day of the American Family Insurance Championship pro-am tournaments at University Ridge Golf Course. Among the amateurs, former Badgers basketball head coach Bo Ryan.

"Today was great. I'll tell ya. Holy Toledo. Esteban Toledo was our guy, was our pro, and he was sharp. Had some great one-liners. I heard five new jokes that I actually hadn't heard before. 'Cause these guys have been around the circuit a little bit. Course, I told them a couple they hadn't heard either. Just trying to keep the gang loose. We were 19 under yesterday, 15 under today. So,if it was a two-day total we might have won it."

Ryan has had plenty of time on the course since his retirement in the middle of last season. Although, he admits his game still needs some work.

"Well, I told them, I could probably play better at this game of golf if there were people walking around with striped shirts cause they bring the best out in you. So, I might have to get 36 (holes) in tomorrow. I try to stay within myself. I don't try to kill the ball."
