Young cancer patient gets surprise from idol ventriloquist
NEW MEXICO (WKOW) -- 8-year-old Elijah Dimas spends a lot of his time at the Children's Hospital in New Mexico practicing his ventriloquist acts. He has a rare form of bone cancer that requires him to be at the hospital a lot for treatment. Elijah's idol is professional ventriloquist Terry Fator, winner of "America's Got Talent." Elijah had plans to go see his show, but doctors discovered new tumors in his body, so he had to to remain in the hospital and miss the show.
But he got a surprise. Fator found out that Elijah was going to miss his show, so he stopped by the hospital to see him. He also told Elijah that he was going to fly him and his parents to Las Vegas where they would attend one of his shows and then Fator would take them to dinner after. Fator also gave Elijah an autograph before he left.
