MADISON (WKOW) -- This year's "Social Media Day Madison" will raise money for Porchlight.
Ideas That Evoke, a Madison-based social media and public relations agency, created Social Media Day last year to recognize its cultural impact on the world. This year, it wanted to take it a step further and show how social media can change its community by raising money for a cause. “As experts in social media, we know the extremely positive impact social media can have in turning digital conversations and buzz into real, tangible results that help make our communities stronger,” said Kelly Ehlers, President of Ideas That Evoke. “By partnering with Porchlight to host our Social Media Day Madison benefit, we’re excited to see how Madison’s engaged population will come together to celebrate the influence of social media and raise critical funds for Porchlight’s mission.”
Their goal is to raise $6,000 for Porchlight at an event Thursday, June 30 at Lucille on the Capitol Square (101 King St.). The event is from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Click here to buy tickets.
