MADISON (WKOW) -- Not all bugs are pests in the garden, some you need in order to make plants bloom.  others can help you get rid of actual pests.

Gardening Expert Melinda Myers says you can grow a few plants to attract predatory insects to your landscape. Dill brings in parasitic wasps.  Coreopsis brings in aphid-eating lacewings.  Milkweed attracts lady beetles and monarch butterflies.  Hyssop attracts the pirate bug that eats thrips, spider mites, and leafhoppers.
