MADISON (WKOW) -- The Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign kicked off this week in Dane County.
On Tuesday, Majors Greg and Carla Voeller stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the campaign. The Voellers' are taking over for Majors Loren and Janice Carter who recently retired.
Organizers are working to raise money to go towards the Salvation Army's food programs. The campaign kicked off July 18th and goes through the 30th, serving at a variety of grocery stores and Walgreen's around Dane County!
Volunteers will ring bells to help raise money to feed hundreds of people.
The Salvation Army of Dane County provides meals for up to 40 children a day going to summer camp, as well as hundreds who go to the shelter or use the food pantry.
