"You know you did do something with yourself", Green reacts to Favre's induction

Posted: Updated:

CANTON, Ohio (WKOW) -- Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre was welcomed by thousands of fans for his induction the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Several current packers such as Aaron Rodgers and some former packers teammates such as Ahman Green.

All week, Favre has called this week 'surreal'. Green said watching his former teammate join football immortality was also a surreal experience.

"I'm a sports fan. I'm being fanatical, geeking out. These are guys I grew up watching and then I got the opportunity to play with him...he's doing something that very select few, the 1% of all athletics get to do, go into their professional Hall of Fames. Just knowing I was a part of that, you realize how big sports is in your life or in the athlete's life because it shapes a lot of things about them character-wise. It brings things together to realize, 'You know you did do something with yourself.'"
