DANE COUNTY (WKOW) -- 27 News got a first hand look inside the new Dane County Medical Examiner's Facility on Wednesday, set to open this fall.
The $10 million building will also include a 911 training center. It's located at the county's East District Campus, near the Dane County Landfill.
The facility is more than 28,000 square feet and will include state of the art forensic technology.
"You want to be able to conduct investigations as efficiently as possible, cause there are families involved and this will allow people to operate as efficiently as possible, there's going to be plenty of space, there's going to be a new lab for state of the art that needs to be done and it just allows for more efficient operations," said Dane County Executive Joe Parisi.
An exact opening dates isn't set, but is expected to sometime early in the Fall.
