Ramczyk Ready to Start On Young Offensive Line

MADISON (WKOW) -

Just two years ago, Ryan Ramczyk may never have thought he would be here. The starting left tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers.

"I think their is definitely some pressure on me. I've got to go out and prove myself, and show everyone the coaches and the team what I can do." Said Ramczyk.

A man on a mission in his first season of eligibility looking to make an impact on a young badger offensive line this season.
Ramczyk's last game experience came in 2014 for Division-3 UW-Stevens Point, but still receives high praise from Coach Chryst.

"We are excited, really excited for Ryan Ramczyk, and he has yet to play in a division one football game." Said Chryst. "It's a high standard, and I get excited on what this line could be."

The Stevens Point native eased his way in as a red shirt a year ago and realized just how bigger, faster and stronger he needed to be.

Ramczyk said "last year coming in, it was kind of shocking at the speed difference, but I think I have adjusted to it here now."

Now at the highest collegiate level and destine for the starting lineup, this coming season has one more dream to come true for Wisconsin native.

"The game at Lambeau." Said Ramczyk. "Growing up a Wisconsin kid I was always a packer fan and being able to play for the Badgers and play over there will be pretty awesome."

The Badgers open their season against LSU at Lambeau Field in Green Bay on September 3.
