MADISON (WKOW) -- End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin is proud to present SOAR ABOVE, an evening of food, fun and flight!

On Tuesday, Tony Gibart with End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin stopped by Wake up Wisconsin to talk about the inaugural event September 15.

With a nod to Amelia Earhart, pioneer in aviation, the event will honor those who have been pioneers in the fight against domestic violence in our state.

Enjoy food from Madison area restaurants, drinks from local vendors, era-inspired music from The Dalton Gang Girls, and an up-close look at an F-16 fighter jet.

Three “Aviator” awards will be presented in the amazing airplane hangar at the 115th Fighter Wing at Truax Field in Madison. End Domestic Abuse Wisconsin is the only statewide coalition led by social policy advocates, attorneys and experts working to support, connect, equip, empower and lead organizations for social change to end domestic abuse because everyone deserves dignity and safety.
