Houston looking for improvement in second start for Badgers

MADISON (WKOW) -

Bart Houston is undefeated as the starting quarterback for the Badgers. However, his first start against LSU was far from perfect. The senior completed 19-of-31 passes for 205 yards and zero touchdowns. He also threw two crucial interceptions. Houston threw an interception in the endzone. He later threw a pick-six that sparked LSU's second-half rally.

"The one area we talked about is how do you play the game," head coach Paul Chryst explained. "There's that fine line. It's not so much the science of quarterbacking but the art of quarterbacking, situational awareness. I think that's where he can grow. Not just on the two picks, but I thought there were some other situations where he can progress. But I love the way he competed and responded when things didn't go well."

Houston is expected to make his second start on Saturday as the Badgers host Akron at 2:30 p.m. in the home opener.
