Badgers CB Jamerson Out with Leg Injury

MADISON (WKOW) -

Following Saturday's 54-10 win over Akron, the Badgers have sustained another injury to their defense that will require significant time to heal. Junior cornerback Natrell Jamerson will miss time with left leg injury the team announced on Monday.

Head coach Paul Chryst gave four to six weeks as an estimated time table for Jamerson's return.

Jamerson injured his leg with six and a half minutes to go in the fourth quarter against Akron. He was later carted off the field.

"It's football and things do happen like that. I know there are guys that are willing to step in for Jam for as long as he needs to recover." Said sophomore linebacker T.J. Edwards. "It will be the same affect. I'm happy we can say that with our defense."

Jamerson was also a kick returner for the Badgers. He had three returns totaling 60 yards so far this season.

During that four to six week stretch, the Badgers will play Georgia State, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Nebraska and Northwestern. Four of those six teams are currently ranked in the top 25.

Wisconsin will host Georgia State on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium with an 11am kick off time.
