MADISON (WKOW) -- The World Dairy Expo is celebrating 50 years of history this week.
Kristin Olson, the Media Relations Manager of the World Dairy Expo, says "Certainly World Dairy expo has become known around the world as the 'must-attend-dairy-event.'"
World Dairy Expo boasts more than 2,500 cattle housed in the New Holland Pavilions. General Manager Scott Bentley says, "We bring in somewhere over 30 million dollars of direct spend economic impact into the greater Madison community. But more importantly, globally and for the dairy industry, it's an exchange of ideas and commerce, and really a coming together of people across the spectrum."
World Dairy Expo takes place at Alliant Energy Center in Madison from October 4th through the 8th. For more information, you can visit this website.
