Lip sync battle for Salvation Army red kettle campaign
MADISON (WKOW) -- It won't be long before you hear those familiar bells ringing at the Salvation Army kettles around town and Thursday night, the Red Kettle campaign got off to an early start. The first-ever Red Kettle Lip Sync Battle was held at the Bergamont country club in Oregon. WKOW'S Bob Lindmeier and Dani Maxwell hosted. "The Red Kettle lip sync battle is designed to help raise awareness, and to bring awareness to our bell ringing campaign, which will start in November, which is one of our even bigger fundraisers to support homelessness," said event co-chair Lashell Lentz. The lip sync battle included 12 teams, and along with a silent auction, the Salvation Army hoped to bring in $100,000.
