Former Badger Devin Harris Returns to Madison with Mavericks

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -

Devin Harris is one of five former badgers currently playing in the NBA. It's been 12 years since Harris last played for Wisconsin but today he returned to the Kohl Center but as a Dallas Maverick.

The seasoned league veteran in the league is entering his third season with Dallas. The Mavericks were in Madison to play the Milwaukee Bucks as part of an NBA preseason game at the Kohl Center.

The Mavs had their shoot around this morning at the Kohl Center, and Harris remembered all his favorite spots on the floor from when he played from 2001-04.

"On the bench, a lot of guys ask me questions like where do the Badgers sit? Well they sit over there." Said Harris. "This is where I used to sit, and my parents used to sit over there. It's a lot of memories from over the years playing here and having a really fun time doing it."

Harris did not play in the preseason game against the Bucks. He is healing from a thumb and toe injury.
