MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Hurts Donut is home of the obscenely large donut, the donut milkshake, and the emergency donut delivery truck.
On Wednesday, Wake Up Wisconsin anchor Brandon Taylor stopped by the store for the grand opening.
The 24-hour, seven-days-a-week donut shop opened their Middleton location Wednesday morning and donut lovers were camped out in anticipation.
The store features up 70 different varieties of donuts, everything from Froot Loops, the marshmallows from Lucky Charms, crushed-up Oreos, salted pretzels, sliced strawberries and even pepperoni.
All donuts are handmade fresh in the store each day. There's even a window where customers can watch as the donuts are being made.
Hurt Donut founder Kas Clegg say their company is unique because they don't spend money on traditional advertisements. Instead, the money they would've spent on ads is donated to the local community.
"Our slogan is 'When we get, we give.' We owe a lot of our success to our charitable giving," said Clegg.
The 6,000-square-foot facility is the largest store in the chain and features two levels, with the second level serving as youth area with games and entertainment for kids.
