Cichy Named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

Wisconsin junior inside linebacker Jack Cichy is arguably coming off his best game of his college career.  As a result, he has been named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week following a career performance last Saturday vs. Ohio State.

Cichy lead the defense wracking up a career-high 15 tackles, including 11 solo stops. He added 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble.

A former walk-on, Cichy leads the Badgers with 50 total tackles and ranks second on the team with seven tackles for a loss on the year. He ranks eighth in the Big Ten this season, averaging 8.33 tackles per game.

The No. 10 Badgers travel to Iowa on Saturday.
