Gaglianone Continues to Honor Nebraska's Foltz

MADISON (WKOW) -

Even though Wisconsin kicker Rafael Gaglianone is out for the remainder of the season with a back injury, this weekend when the Badgers host Nebraska it remains one of his biggest games of the season.

At the start of the season Gaglianone changed his jersey from number 10 to 27. 27 was the number of Nebraska punter Sam Foltz who died in a car accident in Wisconsin while attending a kick camp. Gaglianone attended the same camp and developed a friendship with Foltz.

This Saturday Wisconsin will host Nebraska. Even though Gaglianone won't be taking the field in his 27 jersey, he will still be honoring Foltz.

"It's an emotional game. It brings all of the memories back and it's hard when you have all of the family coming and this is kind of the place that is close to where it all happened." said Gaglianone. "For the family to get some closure and for you to try to explain as much of what those last few days were. It's going to be very emotional."

Kick off from Camp Randall is set for 6pm on Saturday.
