College Football: Badgers Need to Beat Nebraska

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -

It's a short but quickly growing rivalry between Wisconsin and Nebraska. There is the Freedom Trophy that is always at stake, but this time around the Badgers hopes of a shot at a conference title are on the line.

"Yeah I would say so. Any Big Ten team or Big Ten West we have become rivals." Said Wisconsin senior running back Dare Ogunbowale. "Now there is a trophy game at stake so I would definitely say so."

No.7 Nebraska comes to Camp Randall undefeated with a (4-0) record in the Big Ten. The Badgers are (2-2) in conference play but have beat the Cornhuskers the last three times they have played.

Badgers senior running back Corey Clement said, "Looking at Nebraska they have had a great season. Coming into Camp Randall we try to raise a hostel environment. Hopefully that makes it much harder for them to try to come in and take our freedom trophy."

With two losses on the season, a loss to Nebraska on Saturday, could end any hopes of a conference title shot for Wisconsin.

Senior wide receiver Robert Wheelwright said, "I think every game is a must win from here on out. A lot of games are going to be those big games and all are accountable. It's an atmosphere game. It's a night game. Us coming off from a night game, it's going to work well and I cant wait."

Kickoff from Camp Randall is set for 6pm on Saturday.
