Sun Prairie High School presents Urinetown: The Musical
SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Sun Prairie High School is proud to present Urinetown: The Musical. The play is described as, "the smartest, silliest, cleanest show about a sewer you’ll ever see," and it's heading to the Sun Prairie Performing Arts Center November 11-20, 2016.
On Thursday, Marsha Heuer, Director and and Co-Choreographer stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the show. Viewers were also treated to a special performance of, "Follow Your Heart," performed by Reese Clostermery and Dani James.
Urinetown: The Musical is an award-winning satirical comedy musical that pokes fun at capitalism, socialism, bureaucracy, corporate mismanagement, and petty small town politics in a world where all must "pay to pee." Urinetown rejects musical theatre convention, parodying successful Broadway shows such as Les Misérables, Evita, Annie, The Sound of Music and West Side Story, and even satirizes its own significance.
