The Packers are adding some depth at running back. The team has claimed Christine Michael off waivers from Seattle. The club created a roster spot by placing running back Don Jackson on injured reserve.

Michael, a 5-foot-10, 220-pound, fourth-year player out of Texas A&M, has set career highs with 469 yards, six rushing touchdowns, 20 receptions and 96 receiving yards this season. He has started seven games. For his career, Michael is averaging 4.3 yards per carry.

Michael was originally drafted by the Seahawks in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Seattle before the Seahawks traded him to the Cowboys prior to the start of the 2015 regular season. The Cowboys released him on Nov. 17, 2015. He spent a few weeks on Washington's practice squad before re-joining the Seahawks on Dec. 16, 2015.

Michael will wear No. 32 with the Packers.
