VERONA (WKOW) -- It's a festive way to kick off the holiday season, and your chance to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation.
More than 53 million Americans, including 300,000 children live with a form of arthritis. Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States and there are over 100 different forms of arthritis and related conditions.
On Tuesday, Dr. Matthew Niesen, Orthopedic Surgeon at Columbus Community Hospital and Dr. Amy Franta, Chief of Orthopedics UnityPoint Health – Meriter stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about about the 2016 Jingle Bell Run.
The Jingle Bell Run/Walk is Saturday, December 10 at Verona Area High School. Registration is at 9:15 a.m. with the 10K Run starting at 10:30 a.m. The 5K Run and 5K Walk are after the long run.
Participants are encouraged to dress in fun holiday gear while raising money.
