Celebrate National Cookie Day!

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Sunday, December 4 is National Cookie Day!  We're celebrating with holiday-inspired recipes at WKOW.

According to Chef Pierre Abarca, National Cookie Day started in the 1980s, but cookies came to the U.S. back in the 1700s from the Dutch.

He introduced us to a healthier cookie choice, the Mad Mini.  It's a mini cookie sandwich with no artificial ingredients and only 60 calories.  Chef Pierre had two recommendations for recipes with the Mad Minis on National Cookie Day.
