COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five different Badgers lit the lamp as the No. 1 Wisconsin women’s hockey team marched past Ohio State, 5-0, on Saturday afternoon at the OSU Ice Rink.

Alexis Mauermann, Annie Pankowski, Baylee Wellhausen, Presley Norby and Mikayla Johnson each collected goals for Wisconsin (17-2-1, 13-2-1-1 WCHA) in the victory.

Senior Ann-Renée Desbiens stopped all 11 of Ohio State’s (8-10-2, 4-10-2-0 WCHA) shots she encountered to earn her NCAA-leading eighth shutout of the season.

The Badgers outshot Ohio State 45-11 and enjoyed a 20-1 advantage in shots on goal in the second frame.

Wisconsin will have the next three weekends off from competition before traveling to Wentzville, Missouri, to take on Lindenwood on Jan. 6-7, 2017.
