MONONA (WKOW) -- A local high school is taking on a music theatre classic.
Monona Grove High School is putting on Les Miserables, a show set in the post-French Revolution era. The story is largely based around Jean Valjean. He is being hunted down for breaking parole by Inspector Javert. Valjean also comes to care for a factory worker's daughter.
Two of the cast members, Andryi Nahirniak (Valjean) and Kevin Guetner (Javert), along with the show's director, Taras Nahirniak, visited Wake Up Wisconsin Thursday morning. You can see their special preview by clicking on the attached video.
If you would like to see Les Miserables at Monona Grove High School, the show runs April 6-9. April 6-8 there are 7:00 p.m. shows, and April 8-9 there are 2:00 p.m. shows. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors in advance and can be purchased here. Tickets at the door are $14 and $10.
The high school is located at 4400 Monona Dr. in Monona.
