MADISON (WKOW) -- Some of Madison's bravest will soon take the ice for their annual Mad City Fire on Ice hockey tournament, and it's all for a good cause.

On Wednesday, Sam Cooke and Jesse Faust stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the annual event.

Eight teams of firefighters from Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota will face-off on the large rink. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. Madison Firefighters Hockey Club is hosting the hockey tournament at the Madison Ice Arena April 21-23.

The money raised will go towards Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin, Local 311 Charities and adaptive skating programs for youth at Madison Ice Inc.
