COTTAGE GROVE (WKOW) -- The Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove is gearing up for golf season.
On Thursday, Shaun Finley, The Oaks, Director of Golf Operations stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the season.
One of their cool programs is called Six-After-Six. It's a discounted golf program targeted to families and kids to get them playing. Instead of 9 or 18 holes they send families out on a special track of just six holes. Golf can get slow and just six holes is much faster.
The other advantage at The Oaks, is a "no rain" guarantee. Most courses rip you off if it starts raining meaning you get little if any credit towards another round. At Oaks if it rains before you get to the last hole you get a full credit for another round.
Finley also brought along a couple new hi-tech drivers to show viewers the importance of having a proper "fitting."
