MADISON (WKOW) -- April is National Grilled Cheese Month and to celebrate, a local cheese company is partnering with REAP Food Group to give back to our community.
Emmi Roth along with several local restaurants are teaming up for REAP Grilled Cheese Week the week of April 9-15,
On Monday, Matt Moyer, Executive Chef from the Great Dane and Hannah Wente, Communications Director for REAP Food Group stopped by Wake Up Wisconsin.
Each restaurant is creating a featured grilled cheese for the week using locally-made cheese donated by Emmi Roth. $3-$5 of the proceeds per grilled cheese will be donated to REAP Food Group to support local farming, food and sustainability issues including healthy school snack & lunch programs, creating sustainability relationships between local producers and buyers.
Local featured restaurants include: Graze, Great Dane Fitchburg/Downtown, Madison Sourdough Company, Mid Town Pub and Alchemy.
