WINTERSET, Iowa (AP) -- Authorities say a second teenager has been arrested in connection with a fire that destroyed an iconic covered bridge featured in the best-selling novel "The Bridges of Madison County."
Madison County Sheriff Jason Barnes tells Des Moines television station KCCI (http://bit.ly/2pgPhX4 ) that an 18-year-old man from Norwalk has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree arson for the fire that destroyed the Cedar Bridge near Winterset.
On Tuesday, officials announced charges against a 17-year-old boy.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office believes the fire that burned the covered bridge was set early Saturday morning.
The bridge was also featured in the 1995 movie adaptation of "The Bridges of Madison County," starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. The novel was written by Robert James Waller, who died in March.

MADISON COUNTY, IA (WKOW) -- A 17-year-old boy faces charges after authorities say he torched one of the famous Bridges of Madison County in Iowa.

You may have heard of those bridges from the novel or movie that starred Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

Madison County is now figuring out what to do with the bridge.

County supervisors met to discuss their options Tuesday.

They determined replacing the bridge is the only choice.

"We are in full support of replacing that bridge. This is the second time that it has been-has been burned. It was burned in early 2000's and now it's been burned again. So, we're in full support of raising the funds so that we can rebuild that bridge," said Supervisor Aaron Price.

County supervisors heard from one contractor who said they'll need to tear down the bridge and re-build it from scratch.

WINTERSET, IA (WKOW) --  A bridge made famous by the well-known book and movie, 'The Bridges of Madison County' was destroyed over the weekend.
And police say it appears vandals burned it down.
The Cedar Bridge near Winterset, Iowa went up in flames and the signs point to arson.
"Got a call at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. Since then we've been running down leads, deputies have been receiving calls from anonymous callers and we're just working on those. We've had some extra patrol in the area and we're operating the same way we were," said Sheriff Jason Barnes.
This is the bridge on the cover of the novel.
The original was built in 1883.
It burned in 2002 and investigators ruled it was arson, but no one was arrested made.
It was rebuilt and reopened in 2004.
Now, Madison County supervisors will likely have to decide whether to rebuild again.
