MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Gilda’s Club of Madison is helping people who have been diagnosed with cancer in the prime of their lives.

The organization will host the Midwest Young Adult Cancer Conference Saturday, April 29 at 9:00 a.m. The event is held at the club - 7907 UW Health Court in Middleton.

Gilda's Club says cancer survivors, parents and other supporters are welcome. The event is in its 6th year and will include speakers talking about things like nutrition and dealing with grief. The conference will also cover long-term side effects, survivor guilt and stress management techniques.

Participants will be able to connect with others going through the same thing, which Gilda's Club says is important to treatment.
