MADISON (WKOW) -

Badgers softball star Chloe Miller was selected 11th overall by the Akron Racers in the National Pro Fastpitch Draft on Monday night, which came as a big surprise to the senior catcher.

"Actually, didn't even know this was really going to happen. I was actually sitting in a coffee shop doing homework and, all of a sudden, my phone blew up with my teammates texting me and my coaches texting me like, 'Hey. Congratulations!'. I was like, 'What? What is happening?'. "

Miller is have a career year at the plate for Wisconsin. She's currently hitting .440 with a slugging percentage of .800. Miller has been so focused on her final collegiate season that she didn't really consider a pro career. In fact, she is already enrolled in summer classes. Now, she'll have a decision to make.

"Some people were reminding me, 'Don't worry about being overwhelmed. Just soak it in. You're one of the top 26 people. Like 26 people got the call.' So, that was pretty special and soaking up that moment last night was pretty honorable."
