GREEN BAY (WKOW) -

The Packers aggressively addressed one of their biggest needs. After drafting cornerback Kevin King to start the second round, the Packers came back later in the round to select safety Josh Jones.

The North Carolina State product is 6'1", 220 pounds. Jones has a reputation as a hard hitter. He can also run. Jones was timed at 4.41 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

The Packers admitted they were focused this draft on improving their speed and size in the defensive backfield. Green Bay had the second-worst pass defense in the NFL in 2016.
