Posted: Updated:

MADISON, Wis. (WKOW) -- On Day 3 of the 2017 NFL Draft, the Packers didn't have to look too far to make their first fourth round selection. With the 108th overall selection, Green Bay picked up Wisconsin outside linebacker Vince Biegel.

The Wisconsin Rapids native later tweeted out, "Wisconsin I can't wait to stay home!!!! #Homegrown".

The former Badger started 40 games for Wisconsin, racking up 19 1/2 sacks over the last three years.

Biegel is the third UW player to be selected in this year's NFL Draft. Outside linebacker T.J. Watt was selected in the first round by the Pittsburgh Steelers (30th overall). Offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk was drafted two spots later by the New Orleans Saints.
