CROSS PLAINS (WKOW) -- An upcoming fundraiser will benefit families that live with rare, but scary bleeding disorders.
Jessica Ripp and Stacie Brabender are sisters whose two children have Severe Hemophilia A. It's a genetic disorder that significantly reduces the blood's ability to clot. Sons Dean and Owen require infusions in order to do everyday activities.
The two families are teaming up to raise money for the Great Lakes Hemophilia Foundation. The event is called "Drive-In Fusion" and will be Saturday, May 13 at the Coach's Club in Cross Plains. Most activities are from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. with an outdoor movie at 8:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
Admission is free. There is a buffet, a silent auction, 50/50 raffle and activities for kids, including balloons, face painting and caricatures.
