Gard's Host Take on Cancer Event

MADISON (WKOW) -

Wisconsin head men's basketball coach Greg Gard and his wife Michelle hosted a Garding Against Cancer inaugural event at the Kohl Center Saturday night to continue to raise funds for cancer research.

The event had a country western theme and all proceeds will benefit cancer research in Wisconsin.

"Everything from researchers to patient care to clinical trials to anything we can fund across the state we are going to continue to reach out and help this great state that has been so good to us." Said Greg Gard.

Former Badger assistant coach Saul Phillips and his wife Nicole, a cancer survivor attended the event.
