MADISON (WKOW) – Marissa DeGroot from the Dane County Human Society stopped by Wake Up to show off this week’s pet pal, Thalia.

Thalia is a 3-year-old Bulldog mix. DeGroot says Thalia would be best in an active family dedicated to positive reinforcement training. A fenced yard would be ideal for her. It takes her some time to warm up to new dogs, but when she is comfortable she can be a rowdy player.

Thalia should not go to a home with kids.  Any kids in the home will need to recognize and respond to rambunctious behavior appropriately.

DeGroot also mentioned an upcoming event, "Artist for Animals," which will take place Saturday, May 13.  The fun begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Best Western Premier Park Hotel.  Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
