MADISON (WKOW) -

The Badgers women's hockey program will be well-represented at the upcoming Olympics. Five Badgers were just named to the Canadian national team as they prepare for the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Current Badger Emily Clark will be joined by recent Wisconsin players Ann-Renee Desbiens, Sarah Nurse, Blayre Turnbull and Meaghan Mikkelson on the 28-player roster. That roster will need to be trimmed to 23 players prior to the Olympics.

Clark is a senior-to-be. She will likely miss the upcoming season as she trains with the Olympic squad.

Wisconsin could have ten current or former players in the upcoming Olympics. Five Badgers were also named to the U.S. national team.
