UPDATE: Driver killed in Dodge County crash identified

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Authorities have identified the names of the two drivers involved in a fatal car versus semi crash Wednesday in Ashippun.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old John G. Armentrout, of Juneau, Wisconsin, was driving the Pontiac and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

51-year-old Kimberly A. Jacobs, of Chilton, Wisconsin, was driving the Freightliner semi with box trailer.

The crash remains under investigation.

DODGE COUNTY (WKOW) -- One person is dead after a car versus semi crash in the Township of Ashippun in Dodge County Wednesday morning.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says a Pontiac was traveling West on Town Road MM when it was struck by a Freightliner semi with box trailer in the middle of an intersection.

The driver of the Pontiac was ejected from the vehicle. The semi burst into flames shortly after impact and went off of the roadway, striking several trees before coming to rest.

The driver of the Freightliner sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Aurora Hospital in Summit. The male driver of the Pontiac was pronounce dead at the scene b the Dodge County Medical Examiner.

The name of the drivers involved in the crash are being withheld pending family notification.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
