MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police say a juvenile boy is in custody after he and another teen reportedly tried to rob a 16-year-old boy at West High School Friday afternoon.

Sgt. Jamar Gary says in a news release that a 16-year-old boy told police he was beaten by a 17-year-old boy while a 15-year-old went through his pockets. Nothing was stolen, though.

The 15-year-old boy fled the area and police are still looking for him.

The 17-year-old was taken into custody and faces charges of physical abuse of a child. His name has not been released because he's a juvenile.

West High School is located at 30 Ash Street in Madison.
